Welcome to Module 4. Completing this module will help you to support your students to understand how energy consumption is contributing to climate change. It will cover household energy, efficiency and waste.
Learning objectives & outcomes
By the end of this module, participants will:
- understand what energy is and why it is important to consider in relation to climate change.
- demonstrate an understanding of the energy needs, production and consumption on a personal and societal level, and how different forms of energy are considered sustainable or unsustainable (renewable/non-renewable).
- demonstrate conceptual understanding of energy conceived at a global level and how policies are tools used to support the targets of Agenda 2030 to combat climate change.
- understand the different ways of reducing energy consumption, pollution and waste.
